My Wedding Morning

Once upon a time, about 8-9 months ago I began planning my wedding. I thought this is GREAT, Im going to have sooo much material to blog about as im planning for my big day! And boy was I WRONG! Planning a wedding sometimes felt like a full time job, I enjoyed it so much but I was so busy! Trying to balance my job, the gym, friends, family and wedding planning left me with little to no time to really dedicate time for blogging.

But that is all in the past now, my wedding came and went by faster than I could have ever imagined! It was the best and busiest time of my life so far. Now as I am slowly settling into my new “wifey” role, I am ready and so excited to share as much info as I can about everything  I learned along the way. Dennis and I planned every little detail of our wedding by ourselves and honestly in the beginning we didn’t really know what we where getting ourselves into. There is so much detail that goes into even the most simplest or smallest of weddings! So if you’re just getting started with your planning good luck! LOL, JK. It’s so much fun and totally worth it!

We had a Catholic Church ceremony followed with a reception that took place not to far away from our home. Our venue was super simple and didn’t come with one of those fancy bridal sitting areas that some wedding venues include. I of course didn’t want to miss out on having my own little special space to get ready in, so I took matters into my own hands and transformed the family room at my parents house into my own little bridal suite.

All it took was a pretty vintage looking couch, some inexpensive fur throws that I used as rugs, and some fabric that I pinned up with push pins to drape the walls. It was the perfect space for me to relax in private, get my hair and make up done, and it made a great backdrop for my getting ready photos.

He doubled as our photographer and our graphic designer! He designed everything from our Save the Dates to our dance floor decal! He is the absolute BEST! We are so lucky, and forever grateful to have worked with him.

I plan on sharing more details in the coming weeks. =)
